At West Portal Church, part of our mission is to get believers involved in building the Kingdom of God. There are 168 hours in a week. Our church services only constitute about two of them. What are we doing with the other 166? Our heart is to see God's people rise up. We want to see people grow in relationship with God and with others, we want to see healing, we want to see service, we want to see a wholehearted devotion to God Almighty. We want to see the power of God poured out over our city. And we want to be part of all of it.

Sunday, February 2 - Chili Cook-Off
Are you ready for another delicious and action-packed chili cook-off? Grab an apron and prepare for battle, or grab a napkin and prepare for overwhelming deliciosity.
Everyone is invited to join us on Sunday, February 2 at NOON for our annual chili cook-off. You’ll have the opportunity to vote on the best overall and the most creative. The top 3 from each category will be awarded, with top place getting a special prize!
Know what chili you’re going to bring? Click below to tell us all about it to get your name in the running! Chili submissions are due by January 27.
Sunday, February 2 - Congregational Meeting
Join us in the sanctuary at 1:30PM for our Congregational Meeting. We’ll be talking about where we see God leading us.
Everyone is welcome to attend, but only members are able to participate in voting.
Monday, February 3 - Women’s Bible Study
A monthly Bible Study for women. We meet the first Monday of the month at 7:00PM at West Portal.
Bring your own drink, a bible, and something to write on.
Study: Lyrics of Life by Lisa Harper
Description: We sometimes feel like we need to curate our emotions when we talk to God. But God wants us to come to him honestly, no matter what we are feeling or going through. Join Bible teacher Lisa Harper as she teaches from the book of Psalms looking at the variety of circumstances faced by followers of God. In this eight-session series, we learn how to find comfort in any situation based on this songbook of the people of God.
