in Children’s Ministry is to empower parents and Children’s Ministry leaders to build God’s Kingdom by inviting the youngest among us to know and follow Jesus.
Sunday Kids Connection Time
Our children are the next generation of the church. We believe that it’s so important that they not only have fun at church, but that they also get to learn in a creative and relevant way. Our passion is to see these precious little ones raised up to love and serve Jesus, but we can’t do that with games and coloring books alone!
Any time you check your child into Kids Connection Time, you can expect that they’ll learn an age-appropriate lesson from God’s Word - and have a blast doing it.

KNOW Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior! (Romans 10:4-10)
That they may GROW in their relationship with Him! (2 Peter 3:18)
And that they may be equipped to GO and tell others about Him! (Matthew 28:16-20)

Welcome to our Infant & Toddler Connections!
All ages are welcome to join us in our Family Service. Should you need to leave service with your little ones, our Infant and Toddler Rooms will be available for you to use.
If you need any help finding the appropriate space, just ask someone on our hospitality team - you'll know them by their nametag! They would be more than happy to point you in the right direction. We look forward to seeing you all in person soon.
Infant Room
Located just off the Main Floor Sanctuary
- Available for parents with babies 0 - 1 years
- This room is not staffed, you must stay with your infant
- Change table is available (as well as in our main floor washrooms)
- You will be able to view the service from the Infant Room
Nursing Room
Through the Infant Room
- Available for nursing moms
- Change table is available (as well as in our main floor washroom)
- You will be able to view the service from the Nursing Room
Toddler Room
Located down the hall from the main office
- Available for parents with toddlers ages 0-3
- This room is staffed (except for during long weekends and summer) and you may leave your child with our capable volunteers
- The service will be streamed in the Toddler Room

Adventure Club
For children Kindergarten - Grade 4. Adventure Club’s goal is to help kids build deeper social connections outside of Sunday morning Kids Connections.
All Adventure Club events are held at West Portal Church in the evening, typically the first Friday of every month from 6:45PM-8:45PM. There are no events from June-September.

The Bridge
For grades 5 & 6. The Bridge is a monthly-run program that seeks to build social connections. This program serves as a “Bridge” for kids to transition into Youth Group and have a positive attitude towards their role in the church and towards each other as they mature.
All Bridge events are held at West Portal Church in the evening, typically the first Friday of every month from 6:45PM-8:45PM. There are no events from June-September.

Friday, March 7, 6:45-8:45
Cost is $10.00 per person, plus $2.50 if you want 3D glasses
- Bring your own water bottle, no other outside food or beverages are allowed
- Bring extra money for snacks
- No outdoor shoes are allowed on the course, bring indoor shoes or golf in your sock feet

Theme - Full Description
When we visit an aquarium, we find a whole world filled with sea creatures, plants, and more. Some of the discoveries we've made about what lives underwater can seem almost like a miracle. But it's not just under the sea where miracles happen—Jesus used water in some of his most well-known miracles!
February 2 - Jesus does everything out of love
February 9 - Jesus calls us to follow him
February 16 - No Kids Connection
February 23 - Jesus knows what we need
Parent Resources
Want to learn and grow alongside your kid as we go through this teaching series? You can! Spend a few minutes each week studying the passages of Scripture we'll be teaching, praying about what God wants to do in you and in your family, and growing by putting God's words into practice in your own life
Your First Visit
First, head to the check-in station by the sanctuary doors. Someone there will meet your family and check your child in. Upon checking in for the first time, we will ask for the following personal information. We value your privacy and only staff will have access to this information.
- Parent/guardian name(s)
- Phone Number
- Child's name
- Child's birthdate
- Child’s age
- Child’s grade (if applicable)
- Any special instructions (allergies, special needs etc.)
NOTE: You can save a few minutes at check-in by pre-registering your kids! Simply click the button below.

Age 2 - Toddler Room
We have a special area for 2-year-olds down the hall to the left of the front doors.
Age 3-Kindergarten
3 year-olds to Kindergarten will go upstairs, and down the hallway.
Grade 1-4
Grade 1-4 will be greeted at the Fellowship Hall doors. Use the gym doors by the main floor washrooms.
Grade 5-6
Grade 5-6 will be down the hallway by the washrooms.
