If:Table
When: Last Monday of each month, 7PM
Upcoming Dates: August 28
IF:Table is a monthly resource that helps facilitate a regular rhythm of connecting with a group of women. Stop the small talk, fight past the awkward, and find authenticity! We will plan to sit around tables (4-6 women/table) and take turns answering the 4 provided questions. Bring your own hot or cold beverage and a small snack to share with your table.
MISSION STATEMENT FOR WEST PORTAL WOMEN’S MINISTRY:
West Portal Women’s Ministry exists for the purpose of building community, encouraging spiritual growth, providing support and living missionally in service to others as we seek to grow God’s Kingdom, both in our church community and in our circle of influence. We strive to help women of all ages meet that goal in the following ways:
GATHER – Through Large Group Events as well as Key Women Small Groups, we invite women to attend for the purpose of building community, providing support and encouraging spiritual growth, as we seek to know God more and fulfill His purposes in our lives.
“Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” ~Hebrews 10:24-25 (NIV)
GROW – Key Women Small Groups provide women with the opportunity for personal and spiritual growth and accountability through a commitment to studying God’s Word, praying with/for other women, and offering support in a spiritually-nurturing environment.
“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” ~Matthew 18:20.
“For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.” ~Romans 15:4
GO – Women are encouraged to live their lives in a missional way, reflecting the love of Jesus in their daily lives. Women’s Ministry supports broader church-wide initiatives, for example, encouraging women to get involved in blessing others, praying for the lost, promoting a serving mindset both inside and outside of our church community, and sharing meals with those in our circle of influence.
“Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children. Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.” ~Ephesians 5:1-2a
